Our next chapter meeting is Tuesday September 28, 2010 at Coco's Bakery Restaurant. The address of the restaurant is Coco's Restaurant, 5955 Balboa Avenue, San Diego.
We begin at 1830 with a short business meeting followed by other agenda items. We order dinner off the menu.

Welcome to the San Diego, California Chapter of the Air Force Association.
Our chapter has over 800 members in the local area. Our purpose is to be the "force behind the force" in our local community. We support the people and the missions of the local Air Force units in San Diego. We also support retired Air Force members in San Diego providing a continuing link to the Air Force and its global mission. Our members are a positive force in the community supporting local schools and students. Our Chapter meets on the last Tuesday of every month. Click here for more details about our meetings. Air Force Birthday BBQ at Veterans Home of California, Chula Vista
The Chapter will be hosting residents of the Veterans Home of California, Chula Vista to a BBQ lunch on Saturday 25 September to celebrate the Air Force's Birthday. The lunch will start at 11am.

This is a not to be missed opportunity to come out and thank our Vets for their service. We'll be joined by members of the Air Force Sergeant's Association and cadets from Det 75 at San Diego State University.
We hope you can join us. The lunch is free for AFA members and guests.
Get involved in your local AFA Chapter
Your Chapter 118 Officers, invite you to come to one of our monthly Chapter meetings and get involved with your local San Diego Chapter. The meetings are a great way to meet your fellow AFA members and learn what's new, you may even discover a long lost friend, it happens all the time. We're involved in numerous activities in the community to promote Air Force issues and support educational initiatives. Your involvement can be as light or heavy as you want it to be, no pressure. From time to time, we schedule guest speakers to speak to the members on current issues or to provide a personal perspective of events in our military history. We also partner with local chapters of other military organizations to leverage our combined networks and talents. So, plan to attend one of our future meetings.
